About Us

Founded in 2001 in Hong Kong, Parkland Music began as a small music studio with a big dream. Through a passion for music education and an unwavering commitment to excellence, we have grown into one of Hong Kong’s largest and most respected music education institutions. To date, we have nurtured over 50,000 students of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels, each finding their unique musical journey with us.

With over 50 campuses across Hong Kong, including Kowloon and the New Territories, every Parkland location is fully equipped with professional facilities such as rehearsal rooms, recording studios, and instrument classrooms. Students can learn in an ideal environment without the need to bring their own instruments.

Our teaching team includes more than 2,000 dedicated instructors, many of whom hold qualifications from top international music institutions like Berklee College of Music and Musicians Institute. They are not only experienced educators but also passionate musicians who strive to create an enjoyable, structured, and inspiring learning experience for every student.

Parkland offers a wide variety of programs, including guitar, piano, drums, strings, vocals, and digital music production. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned musician looking to refine your craft, Parkland is the perfect place to begin or advance your musical journey.

Beyond Hong Kong — Connecting the World
In 2025, Parkland Music will take its first step onto the international stage, launching our overseas expansion with two new campuses opening simultaneously in Manchester, UK and Taipei, Taiwan. Staying true to our student-centered approach, we aim to bring high-quality, heartfelt music education to even more communities around the world.

Wherever you are, if you have a passion for music, there is a place for you at Parkland. From early childhood programs to adult classes, band ensembles, and professional performance training, we strive to make music a part of everyday life, helping our students grow in confidence and joy.

We believe that music knows no borders and that education is one of the most powerful bridges between people. As we continue to expand globally, Parkland remains rooted in its mission to inspire a lifelong love for music and to share the freedom and happiness that music brings.

Our Mission: To Help More People Fall in Love with Music

When I first picked up the guitar in secondary school, I never imagined that music would one day become my lifelong calling. I wasn’t a top student in music, nor did I come from a prestigious school. I was just a Hong Kong boy from public housing, born in the 80s, with a deep love for music.

In 2001, I started teaching guitar on my own. From humble beginnings to what Parkland Music has grown into today—it’s all by grace. There’s really nothing I can boast about, only deep gratitude.

There was a time when teaching was extremely intense—I taught from 10 a.m. until 3 or 4 a.m. the next day. I remember one student who had an exam the next day; we practiced together in the studio until 4 in the morning. It was exhausting, but seeing my students grow, perform confidently on stage, and smile with pride made every moment worth it.

Music is beautiful, but learning it can be challenging. At Parkland, we believe that true music lovers can find joy even in the most difficult practice sessions. That’s why our mission is not just to teach music, but to help our students truly fall in love with music. We don’t want learning to feel like a chore or just a path to certificates. If practice becomes a burden and a student loses their love for music—that would be our greatest regret. Because music can be a lifelong companion.

For me, music has played a vital role in my life. It walked with me through tough times and made the happy moments even brighter. I even met my wife through music. Being able to enjoy music is a true blessing, and I feel incredibly fortunate.

My greatest hope is that Parkland can help introduce this precious gift—music—to more people. And I truly hope that you, reading this right now, will one day fall in love with music too, and be blessed by the joy it brings to your life.
