Perfect for anyone aged 3 and up — we’ll match you with a drum set that fits your size and comfort.

1-to-1 or small group

Choose between one-to-one lessons or small private groups.

Beginners & Advanced players

We offer lessons for all levels — from beginners to advanced players, up to Grade 8 and diploma level.

Duration

30 / 45 / 60min

For little ones, 30 minutes is usually best; 45 minutes suits older kids, and 60 minutes is ideal for teens and adults.

Beginners

  • Equivalent to Rockschool/Trinity Rock & Pop Debut to Grade 3
  • Understanding the drum kit
  • Basic grip and sitting posture
  • Basic music theory and music reading
  • Single & double strokes, paradiddles and other basic tapping techniques
  • Basic rhythms and dynamics
  • 4-Way Coordination
  • Song Application Practice
  • 30, 45 or 60 minute sessions

Intermediate

  • Equivalent to Grade 4 to 5
  • Intermediate tapping techniques such as Paradiddle-Diddle, fast doubles, etc.
  • Intermediate rhythms
  • Intermediate arranging
  • Study different percussion genres (Pop, Rock, Blues, Funk, etc.)
  • Solo and ensemble techniques
  • Improvisation
  • Song application practice
  • Choose between 45 and 60 minutes

Advanced

  • Equivalent to Grade 6 to 8
  • Advanced improvisation techniques
  • Introduction to Mode
  • Jazz percussion style
  • Key skills and speed training
